Understanding the Processing Technology of Precision Reducer Gear

The main structure of precision reducer is planetary gear, solar gear and inner gear ring. Compared with other similar reducers, the precision reducer has the advantages of high rigidity, high precision (within 2 points in a single stage), high transmission efficiency (97% - 98% in a single stage), large torque, small size, lightweight, lifelong maintenance-free, etc. It is basically installed on stepper motor and servo motor to reduce speed, increase torque and match inertia. Speed ratio range is 3-1000 kinds, 1-3 planetary gear transmission can be selected.

The relationship between the durability and precision of precision reducer and gear is inseparable. The production process of planetary gear is related to the service life of reducer. Here are several gear processes we will know about:

1. Surface quenching technology, gear common methods are high frequency quenching (for small size gear) and flame quenching (for large size gear). It should be noted that when the hardened layer of surface hardening can include the bottom of the tooth root, the effect will be better.

2. Carburizing and quenching process. This kind of machined gear has relatively larger load-carrying capacity, but it must be refined, such as grinding, to eliminate the deformation caused by heat treatment to ensure accuracy. Carburizing and quenching play an important role in improving the bending fatigue strength of gear teeth. In addition to improving the hardness of the core part, it can also better cope with the residual compressive stress on the surface of gear and reduce the tensile stress in the maximum tensile stress zone of gear teeth. Therefore, when grinding teeth, it can not grind to the root of the teeth, so it is necessary to use the retained abrasion for hobbing in general.

3. Nitriding process can ensure that the gear teeth have higher hardness and better wear resistance under the condition of small deformation zui, and do not need finishing after heat treatment to increase the torsion force. This feature is very important for internal gears which are not easy to grind.
